General Plan Discussion Draft Now Available. Click here to download a PDF file of the General Plan ?? This does not open the draft plan. Why is the draft plan so hard to locate and download? I want to read it and not have to go to a location for that option.

Planning is great, but be prepared that it will be largely ignored. A good example is the 1973 or was it 1978? General Plan which proposed a road behind Coco Palms, an alternate way across the Wailua River….too expensive? Now, it’s at least twice as much as it woul dhave been then.
Taking out the dangrous curve on Kamalu was there, too, but never got straightened out–people have died at that one-way bridge on a curve.
So it’s hard to get one’s hope up that a General Plan will actually make a difference.
    But keep on believing!
